Oriental Boya Society is a senior non-governmental academic organization of Chinese fine arts circle. It is initiated and founded in 1987 by Lu Yanshao, Wang Bomin, Kong Zhongqi, Tong Zhongtao, Zhang Zu-an, Liu Cun, Zhang Shengyuan, etc. The other members are: Shen Peng, Wang Xuezhong, Pan Jiezi, Liang Shunian, Dong Yulong, Hu Mengyan, Sun Melong, Li Zihou, Feng Yuan, Tong Zhenguo, Tang Yongli, Li Biao, Wang Dongling,Zheng Xiangnong, Kong Borong, Zheng Li, Liu Shujun, He Jialin, Qiu Ting, Sun Jingru, Zhang Weiping, Shou Juesheng, etc.　

　In September 1989, at the first gathering of the Society in Zou City, Shandong Province, the native place of Mencius, Mr. Lu Yanshao was elected by all President of the Society, Mr. Kong Zhongqi, Executive President, Mr. Zhang Shengyuan and Mr. Tang Yongli, Secretary Generals.

　In 1991, "Collected Works of Artists of Oriental Boya Society (1)" was published by the Shandong’s Fine Arts Publishing House.
　In 1993, "Collected Works of Artists of Oriental Boya Society (2)" was published by the Shandong’s Fine Arts Publishing House.
　In December 1994, Exhibition of Art Works by Artists of Oriental Boya Society was held in Hangzhou.
　In August 1997, Exhibition of Art Works by Artists of Oriental Boya Society was held in the National Art Museum.
　In November 1999, at the fourth academic event, Mr. Pan Jiezi was elected President of the Society, Mr. Tong Zhongtao, Executive President, Mr. Zhang Shengyuan, Secretary General.
　In March 2000, "Collected Works of Artists of Oriental Boya Society"was published by the People’s Fine Arts Publishing House.
　In April 2000, Exhibition of Art Works by Artists of Oriental Boya Society was held in Vancouver, Canada at the invitation of Vancouver Chinese Cultural Centre, Canada.
