Chinese Modern Landscape Painting Art Exhibition   　The World has now been in the course of the global economic integration. People began to wonder whether there would appear the political integration. What I think is that it could take place in the remote future. If really so, the earth would be a “village” indeed. Chinese painting may trace back to over 3000 years ago. 　According to the records, in the Warring States period, there already were professional painters who were then called “Picture History”. They obtained enlightenment by painting, which could help the human relations. This could display the function of the paining. Perhaps because of the Chinese ancients’ world outlook and their life view, and again perhaps because of the introduction of the particular painting tools, this makes the Chinese painting give priority to its lines, its abstract form as well as its special and outstanding characteristics from the very beginning. And also as a result of this kind of special characteristics, Chinese paining art now becomes one of the world three major drawing artistic forms. 　Culturally speaking, Chinese painting represents oriental painting art. 　Social development has naturally brought the artistic meteorology renewal. The traditional Chinese painting in the nearly hundred years has distinctively distinguished from the spiritual form of the Qing Dynasty’s paintings and is gradually forming a pattern of a new era. Especially over the nearly recent twenty years, the painting art has got rid of the close attachment from the politics. After entering the self-disciplined development orbit, traditional Chinese painting art has showed its modern quality extremely clearly. 　 What is the attribute of the painting art? I think that it is not only what people often say today; i.e.: self-entertainment or amusing people. The ancient made the following comments on the function of the painting art: “the pleased sentiment” and “to everybody’s amusement”. In addition, this art should give attention to the nature, the life and the society. That is what the ancients usually say: “obtaining enlightenment, improving human relationship, seeking to express the spiritual essence and exploring the slightest details”. This is the basic reason why artists are respected by the society and their works of a art are loved by the people. 　 　 Many works of this exhibition were carefully created by the contemporary Chinese artists who possess a sense of responsibility for the society and a sense of mission for the history. They use their own unique art language to express their views, ideas and consideration to the nature, the life and the society. To these works of art, one needs to appreciate them meticulously. Simply viewing these paintings quickly is not enough. By using the Chinese unique aesthetic ways “Xi Pin” people can appreciate both the works’ beauty in form and their inner beauty.
